It was revealed, Sunday evening at the Foreign Ministry, that the theme for the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest, to be held in Tel Aviv, will be "Dare to Dream." Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said that 2018 winner Neta Barzilai "dared to dream about the Eurovision Song Contest in Israel this year. I dare to dream that the Eurovision will be a year later. I'm sure all the songs will be excellent, but we dream and we also carry out our dreams."

Netanyahu concluded, "We hold this discussion today, though I thought I'd try to postpone this event tomorrow, because we've all been traumatized by this terrible anti-Semitic attack in Pittsburgh. But our life is always a mixture of joy and sadness, and after the sadness comes a moment of joy. We always remember both things together."
