The Israel Defense Forces have inaugurated a new outpost at the Jit Junction in Samaria to guard against terrorist threats between Jenin and Shechem.
In addition to serving as an axis between the two Palestinian Authority cities, one road connects to Highway 60, which continues to Jerusalem and Ramallah, while another heads west toward the Ephraim Brigade and the center of the country, making it a central route for PA residents and Jews alike. The outpost is staffed with forces that will serve as an initial, qualitative and available force for any erupting event. It is equipped with advanced technological measures.
