Attorney General Dr. Avichai Mandelblit submitted a request to the committee for the suspension of heads of local authorities to suspend the head of the Tamar Regional Council, Dov Litvinoff, due to an indictment recently filed against him for acts of breach of trust and integrity in connection with his public office.
The suspension is required before the next municipal elections are held next week. The committee decided that the hearing on the petition would be held on Monday.
