Likud MK Tzachi Hanegbi, a longtime Netanyahu ally, said that the prime minister is not responsible for the incitement that led to the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin in 1995,

"There were very serious incidents of incitement, but I do not know if that was what led to the murder, and it was certainly not in the leadership of the right or on the Prime Minister's initiative today, I remember that every time the crowd started to accuse Rabin of being a traitor, the prime minister stopped it and made it clear that he was not a traitor," Hanegbi told 103FM.
