Zionist Union lawmaker Shelly Yachimovich blasted Netanyahu following a Yisrael Hayom report that Netanyahu decided against holding early elections due to indications that President Reuven Rivlin wouldn't let him form the next government even if the Likud won.
"Netanyahu has reached a new peak [in his campaign] to damage to every symbol, institution and state role in the wild and imaginary accusations against the state's president," said Yachimovich. "It is clear that in light of the conclusion of the police investigations, Netanyahu is not prepared to bring forward the elections. The fact that out of this violent spin are already forming bills that harm the president, attests to the rotten nature of the entire coalition."
