Shabak Israel Security Agency head Nadav Argaman met Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas last week at Abbas's home, according to the Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation.
Their talks dealt with the attempts at a calm in Gaza and steps the Palestine Liberation Organization is threatening to take against Hamas, Israel and the United States at a gathering next week. Senior PA sources said the PA protested that Israel did not abide by the Oslo Accords and even violated the existing security coordination between the sides. They said that if Israel fulfills its threats to cut the salaries of terror prisoners and families from tax revenues in January, the PA will immediately cancel the Paris Economic Agreement and security coordination with Israel.
