Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Al-Safadi said, Monday, that his country had not received a request from Israel to hold negotiations to renew the lease of the land leased under the 1994 peace agreement between the two countries.
Interviewed by a Jordanian media outlet, following King Abdullah II's announcement that the lease would not be renewed, he said, "If Israel asks, we will enter into negotiations on how to transfer the territories, out of a commitment to our interests."
