Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said at the State Memorial Ceremony for Leah and Yitzhak Rabin that Rabin's murder "was an abominable act of violence that destroyed the life of an elected leader whose contribution to the security of our country will remain for generations to come."
"We see what is happening to the peoples around us, who are swept with violent and murderous zealotry. The heart of the conflict is the constant refusal to recognize Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people."
