Following Thursday's fatal accident near the Dead Sea, the National Road Safety Authority has published updated data, which indicate that 228 people have been killed in accidents since the beginning of the year, compared to 301 during the same period last year, according to the Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation.
The number of fatal accidents is also smaller this year - 214 compared to 262 in the same period last year
