The Australian Prime Minister's Office and Foreign Ministry issued a joint statement on Tuesday, in the wake of Monday's announcement that Prime Minister Scott Morrison was considering recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital and moving its embassy there.
Repeating those thoughts, a joint media statment said the recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital should be "without prejudice to its final boundaries, while acknowledging East Jerusalem as the expected capital of a future Palestinian state," and that the location of the embassy to Israel would be in "West Jerusalem".
