Following extensive conservation work carried out by the Archeology Unit of the Civil Administration, in cooperation with the University of Ariel, the Tel Hevron archaeological site will be opened to the general public today.

Excavations conducted during the past year revealed walls of the city from the Early and Middle Bronze, as well as buildings from the Early Roman period, containing pottery vessels, jewelry and coins. Also exposed was an industrial area from the First Temple period, including presses for producing oil and wine, olive presses, pottery kilns, as well as unique finds - huge ritual baths for the production of oil and wine in a state of purity.
