Prayers for rain will be held this morning at the tomb of Talmudic rainmaker Honi Hamaagel (Honi the circle maker) in the Galilee town of Hatzor, and on the shores of Lake Kinneret/the Sea of Galilee, according to the Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation.

The prayers will be led with rabbis, accompanied by the blowing of shofars. Last night began the season for praying for rain in weekday Jewish prayers in Israel. The Diaspora will follow suit on the evening of December 4th.
