With the onset of evening services in Israel on Monday, the text for the Amidah standing weekday prayer asks G-d to "bestow dew and rain for blessing" on the land.
The prayer was reflected in Speaker Yuli Edelstein's opening remarks to the Knesset's winter session. The Diaspora is scheduled to follow suit on the evening of December 4th and join Israelis in saying the prayer until the start of Passover.
