In the morning hours, a surprise exercise began at the IDF's Sde Dov base of the air force, where a number of combat scenarios will be practiced. The exercise is due to end in the afternoon.
As part of the exercise, heavy traffic of vehicles and aircraft will be felt, smoke will be seen, and explosions and sirens will be heard in and around the base area.
The IDF emphasized that the exercise was planned in advance as part of the training program for 2018 and is intended to maintain the ability and readiness of forces.
