Acting Chairman Yaakov Haguel of the World Zionist Organization has responded to the shocking documentation of an anti-Semitic incident in which a 62-year-old Jew was brutally beaten in Brooklyn by saying, "It is painful and difficult to see a Jew in his 60s brutally beaten in the heart of our American friend by someone who tries to sabotage the close ties between the American people and American Jewry solely because of their Jewishness. I call on the authorities in the US to deal harshly with these people so that every Jew in the US can walk the streets safely like any other citizen."
