A 15-month-old tiger from an endangered Persian subspecies has come to the Ramat Gan Safari Park from the Attica Zoo in Athens.
At the safari it is customary to make a celebration by choosing the name of a new animal. Due to the fact that this is a tiger originating from Persia, it was decided to use Dr. Tamar Ilam Gindin, a linguist specializing in Persian and ancient Iran, who, through social networks, asked surfers in Iran to help find a suitable name. The excitement over Dr. Ilam Gindin's posts was great, and dozens of suggestions for the new tiger began to flow in from all over Iran.
