Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met this morning in Jerusalem with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Maxim Akimov.

The two discussed further cooperation in the areas of medicine, science, innovation, construction and agriculture, as well as promoting an agreement regarding adoption. Prime Minister Netanyahu emphasized the importance of the relationship between the two countries and the continuation of the discourse on threats in the region, while finding common interests. Akimov is in Israel as part of the Israel-Russia Mixed Economic Committee.
