Yediot Ahronot diplomatic correspondent Itamar Eichner said on Tuesday, "I am sorry to say that Israel is becoming a kind of police state," following prolonged questioning at Ben-Gurion Airport's passport control about a trip he took to Jordan three months ago to cover a story.

Writing on Twitter, Eichner said, "Luckily for me, the person in charge calmed things down. Something bad is happening here. So now I am on the black list and [it's] my sin [to make] a journalistic visit to Jordan, a country with which there is a peace agreement? Where have we come to?
