Member of Knesset Ilan Gilon (Meretz) said, Monday evening, that the Histadrut Labor Federation did well to declare a labor dispute on the issue of occupational safety.
Writing on Twitter, Gilon said, "The epidemic cannot be stopped with 18 inspectors for about 13,000 construction sites. It's impossible to stop the carnage when no one pays the price. The incomprehensible lack of building inspectors, as well as the government's shameful submission time and time again to greedy contractors, show that the workers' blood is expendable."
