The State Prosecutor's Office responded to the claims of Maj. Gen. (res.) Gal Hirsch, and claimed that there was no "procrastination" in his interrogation that began after he was declared a candidate for the General Director.
"Throughout the period, investigations were carried out on an ongoing basis," the State Attorney's Office wrote. In addition, it was said that at the time of the decision to appoint Hirsch as the commissioner, "some of the information was not complete, and in any case, there was no definitive decision."
