President Reuven Rivlin told German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Thursday, "We cannot help but appeal the decision made by the European Union to bypass the sanctions against Iran."
Speaking at the start of their meeting at the President's Residence in Jerusalem, Rivlin said, "From our point of view, this is the time to join the effective sanctions on Iran and not to bypass them. The Iranian monster must be starved and not fed. Join our side in demanding to supervise the Iranian nuclear program."
