Before dawn an Israeli citizen came by car to the Jordan Valley Crossing with his sister in labor.
A security checker from the Defense Ministry's Crossings Authority, who volunteers in the Magen David Adom emergency service, helped the woman to give birth until the arrival of an ambulance and the medical staff. Mother and baby were evacuated to Ha'emek Hospital in Afula.
