About 100 employees of the Militol factory opened a strike today and blocked the gates of the factory near Nahariya, where frozen vegetables are produced.

The strike was announced after the controlling shareholder, real estate developer Zohar Levy, announced that he had decided to transfer the factory's activities to industrialist Joad Agbaria, who plans to fire more than 50 percent of the workers.

According to the organization, workers who remain in the factory will work under reduced wage conditions without a collective agreement and without economic and employment security.
