Germany says report that Merkel threatened to scrap visit inaccurate

Germany denied reports that Chancellor Angela Merkel threatened to cancel her scheduled visit to Israel if the illegal Bedouin village of Khan Al Akhmar was demolished as scheduled. A representative from the Germany Embassy in Israel told the Times of Israel that "There was never a doubt that the government to government consultations would take place. A cancellation was not considered at any point in time".
