Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz told parents, Monday evening, not to allow their children to ride electric bicycles if they have not reached the age of 16.
Writing on Facebook in the wake of a recent fatal accident, Katz also said not to let those who use the vehicles to exceed the 25 kilometer-an-hour speed limit, "which makes the bike a fatal vehicle. Insist that your children over the age of 16 wear a helmet and personally make sure that they do not take any risk on the road."
