A Palestinian Authority news agency reported Monday that the Erez Crossing was opened as an exception to its holiday closing to allow nine international permanent employees of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency in Gaza to be evacuated to Israel after their lives were threatened by local workers facing dismissal as a result of the United States decision not to support the agency.
