MK Eitan Cabel (Zionist Union) responds to the chief of staff's announcement regarding the establishment of an investigation team regarding the army's preparedness for war.
"I appreciate the actions of Chief of Staff Eizenkot and the fact that the army has understood that it is necessary to examine Brigadier General Brick's claims, but the examination cannot end only in the army.
"At the same time that the IDF has to undergo an examination by an independent external body, it is a security issue that may have dramatic implications for the lives of civilians and soldiers, and it is inconceivable that the supreme body that decides on Israel's security and political policy will be satisfied only with internal reports."
