In response to US President Donald Trump's speech at the UN General Assembly, PA chief negotiator Saeb Erekat, said:
"President Trump has confirmed that his administration has closed the doors to peace and cannot play a role in peacemaking. What his administration did, and continues to do, is to reward and incentivize violations of international law, colonization, war crimes, and apartheid."
