The Israel Cancer Association, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, is publishing the updated data on breast cancer in Israel for the opening of the International Awareness Month for the Advancement the Fight Against Breast Cancer in October.

The rates of cure and survival from breast cancer in Israel rank higher than average among the countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, reaching 89.7% among Jews and 84.4% among Arabs. Since 2005, the mortality rate from the disease for Jewish women declined 25 percent while it was on the rise in the Arab sector.
