Former minister Gid'on Saar said, Monday evening, "The coordination with Russia regarding our operational activity in Syria is tactical, and it is supposed to help implement our strategy: to stop the Iranian establishment in Syria. We have no way of withdrawing from this vital campaign for Israel's security."
Writing on Twitter regarding the crisis over last week's downing of a Russian plane by Syria, Saar added, "The key: Assad as the ruler of Syria is responsible for Iranian activity there. This responsibility must be meaningful."
