Two male soldiers – one of whom serves in the Military Police – have been arrested on suspicion that they stripped Arab women of their clothing at the Kalandia crossing.

The soldiers are suspected of acting in a way that contradicts regulations out of "racist" motives. Their actions were defined as "sexual offenses carried out through an abuse of authority."

Channel 10 News reported that they are also suspected of stealing money from many Arabs who passed through the crossing, and of looting.

The IDF Spokesman's Unit said that the IDF's Unit for Internal Investigations is investigating the allegations. The two soldiers will be arraigned before a military court.
