In preparation for the opening of the express train line to Jerusalem, lines were cut to Nahariya and the direct line from Nahariya to Beer Sheva was canceled.
Nahariya Mayor Orna Starkman has received requests from dozens of residents, mostly soldiers, and students, who are furious at the cancellation of the lines to Nahariya.
"This leads to damage to the studies and livelihood of the residents of the north. To this, we must add the huge traffic jams in the region and we have been neglected and this creates a problem that has no solution for 600,000 residents. The transportation minister and the government are talking about a plan with a face to the north, and in the meantime, they seem to be turning their backs, "Starkman added.
