Deputy Minister Michael Oren wrote in Hebrew on Twitter, Tuesday, "New Jersey, a young boy, I left a synagogue during recess and heard that Israel had been attacked by the Syrians and Egyptians and at that moment I decided to go to Israel as soon as possible and volunteer for the paratroopers."
The former ambassador to the United States continued, "Today, 45 years have passed since then and my heart is stronger than ever with the people of Israel and IDF soldiers who defend the country and allow us to pray in peace." He concluded with the wish, "An easy fast for everyone and a good sealing [in the Book of Life]!"
