AFP reported that police in Brazil seized more than $16 million in cash and luxury goods from Equatorial Guinea's vice-president Teodorin Obiang who is also the son of Equatorial Guinea's President Teodoro Obiang Nguema.
The Equatorial Guinean embassy in Brazil claimed in a statement that the money was for Mr. Obiang's use on an onward trip to Singapore.
