About 100 firefighters from around the country blocked the main entrance to the main firefighting unit in Rishon Lezion Monday morning and prevented senior officers from entering the meeting of the senior echelon of the organization headed by the fire and rescue commissioner, Dedi Simchi.

The firemen burned tires, chanted slogans and waved signs against Simchi's abusive behavior, in the shadow of the Tel Aviv Labor Court's order to hold fair negotiations over the labor relations in the commission.

This is a rolling protest that has been going on for several weeks, after about a month ago the firefighters blocked Azrieli Junction, and then held protest demonstrations in several locations in Israel, including the Commission.
