Two people in their forties died over the weekend from Neisseria meningitidis, according to Israeli public television.
A 49-year-old man died at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv and a 44-year-old woman died at Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikva. Both had been healthy. The Ministry of Health is examining the connection between the cases.
