Member of Knesset Uri Maklev (United Torah Judaism) made it clear on Sunday that his Degel Hatorah faction is actually supportive of a proposal to lower the threshold for a party to be represented in the Knesset from its current 3.25 percent of the vote or four seats.
According to Maklev, the deciding factor is the possibility of Degel Hatorah and Agudath Israel successfully running as separate factions. MK Yakov Litzman of Agudath Yisrael has expressed his opposition.
