Director-General Peretz Vazan of the Ministry of Science and Technology has decided to resign with the consent of the Minister of Science, Ofir Akunis.
The retired colonel is concluding a three-year period during which he promoted many programs to make science accessible to the population and to promote the support and funding of science in Israel. His replacement will be Deputy Director-General Ran Bar, subject to cabinet approval and approval by the committee for the appointment of senior public service officials.
