Chairman Shlomo Ne'eman of the Gush Etzion Regional Council has announced that he will move his office to the site of the attack at the Gush Junction until Yom Kippur in protest of the murder.
Ne'eman said, "The murder of a Jew in the State of Israel must interrupt our lives, and we must convey to our enemies that Jewish blood is not abandoned." Describing the move as a "call for strengthening security and strengthening settlement in Gush Etzion," he added, "The government must act harshly against the murderers on the one hand, and answer every terror attack with massive construction and settlement development. Of all places, now Gush Etzion. This is the moment to build and be built."
