The Israel Police received a report Friday about a five-year-old child who was hospitalized in moderate condition, after apparently eating a snack that was laced with a drug.
The report had come from Asaf Harofeh Hospital in central Israel, where the child's parents brought him from treatment.
The boy's father was detained for questioning and the circumstances of the event are being investigated.
