Khalil al-Haya, a member of the Hamas political bureau and a senior member of the terror organization, said that the Oslo Accords had torn apart the unity of the "Palestinian people" when members of the Palestinian leadership signed the Oslo Accords, which he called the new Balfour Accord.

In a speech in Gaza marking the anniversary of the signing of the Oslo Accords, Al-Haya said that "the Palestinian people in Palestine and the diaspora" are opposed to the Oslo Accords and demand that the Palestinian Authority declares its cancellation.

"We tell the isolated people that they have only the legitimacy of the occupation: What remains of Oslo except for security coordination?" Said Al-Haya. "The time has come for the Oslo group to cease the continuation of this destructive policy. This group renewed the Balfour Declaration in the worst way in history, relying on a dubious legitimacy."

According to him, the Oslo agreement paved the way for the Judaization of Jerusalem and the deal of the century, which Hamas opposes.

In a direct appeal to the Oslo initiators, Al-Hayah said that the only way out was to rebuild the national institutions on the basis of partnership. Al-Haya directed his words to Hamas's desire to join the PLO in order to gain control of the Palestinian national movement and the presumption of Palestinian representation.
