The Jerusalem Post reported that the Israeli government has decided to allow people who avoided the draft by moving abroad or those who went abroad without permission to return home to Israel for the holidays without fear of being arrested or prosecuted.
The amnesty agreement stipulates that anyone taking advantage of this must enter the country after Septemeber 9th and must leave by October 31st.
During this period, affected individuals will also have the opportunity to change their status via the IDF.
