Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said in a speech at the end of last week that the United States was sending messages to Iran all the time in order to get Tehran to restart negotiations.
"On the one hand, they are trying to pressure the citizens of Iran, and on the other hand, they send us messages every day through various means and call on us to negotiate," Rouhani said. His remarks were made in the context of the tension between the United States and Iran after President Donald Trump withdrew from the nuclear agreement and reimposed sanctions on the Islamic republic.
