The Supreme Court has issued an interim injunction against the meeting of the committee for the appointment of senior officials.
The order came in a petition against the appointment by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu of Iris Stark and Yaakov Nagel to the committee because of corruption investigations centering on the prime minister. This means that the selection of the Israel Defense Forces' next chief of staff and the next police commissioner is frozen.
