MK Aliza Lavie, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, condemned the IDF's decision to outsource its medical care to private health services. The decision was made due to the massive overload on the military's medical establishment.

"We have been told that the decision is far from being ready, and we suddenly see that a decision with far-reaching implications is being rushed and without any serious public debate," said Lavie. "Do not throw responsibility out into the public medicine establishment that is already collapsing under the strain."
