Ynet reported that Deputy Mayor of Ashdod, Rabbi Mordechai Liberman (United Torah Jerusalem) sent a letter asking Minister of Transportation, Yisrael Katz (Likud) to cancel planned work at Ashdod port on Shabbat.
The work was reportedly canceled as a result.
