Deputy Attorney General Raz Nizri discussed Case 4000, involving irregularities at the Bezeq, Yes and Walla communications companies. Nizri said, "We try to make every decision as quickly as possible. The assumptions that there's footdragging and that there is too much speed cannot live together."
Nizri noted, "In Case 4000, four to five months ago a state's witness agreement was signed with Nir Hefetz. This agreement brought with it dozens of audiotapes. What should be done at this point? It takes us months ahead. Do we shut our ears? There may be incriminating evidence or exonoration in these conversations. Our responsibility is to listen to the recordings."
