The promotion of direct flights between Israel and the Philippines was one of a number of topics discussed in meetings between Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte.
The two also discussed cooperation in technology, agriculture, nursing and other fields. Duterte invited Netanyahu to visit the Philippines. Netanyahu asked Duterte for assistance in efforts to locate an Israeli who has been missing in the Philippines for three years.
