Knesset Speaker Yuli-Yoel Edelstein said, Sunday evening, "There is no point in going to early elections." Speaking at a pre-Rosh Hashana toast for Likud Party activists in Jerusalem, he explained, "Early elections will not solve anything about [Israel Defense Forces] induction. The government is working, the Knesset is working, legislating and supervising government activity, and we must continue to do so with the help of G-d until November 2019."
Edelstein added that in his opinion the Likud could even reach 50 seats in the next elections. In his words, "The Likud Party can break even the prime minister's record. We will do this through hard work on the ground and at the polls. The public supports the Likud and believes in it."
