Jordan has rejected a United States proposal for a confederation with the Palestinian Authority that was brought up today by PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas during a meeting with Knesset members and Peace Now representatives, according to Maariv.
A statement from Amman said, "It's not on the table. Only a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital."
